Threshold of Audibility (hearing)
The sound pressur elevel below which a normal human
being cannot hear.
Threshold of Pain
The sound pressure level at which an average human
being experiences physical pain in the ear.
Transmission Loss (TL)
A logarithmic measure of the decrease in sound power
during transmission from one point to another (or through a panel, wall,
etc.,); a value in decibels equal to 10 times the logarithm to the base
10 of the ratio of transmitted-to-incident sound power.
